Cubs to pay $388,000 for repairs to Grant Park after World Series celebration

The Cubs will pay $388,000 for repairs to Grant Park after their World Series celebration earlier this month, city officials announced Wednesday.

The repairs will include new sod for parts of Lower Hutchinson Field, damaged fences, and other landscaping, according to District spokeswoman Jessica Maxey-Faulkner.

Most of the repairs should be completed within the next few weeks.

An estimated five million people attended the rally and parade.
