Cubs' Theo Epstein: ‘Jed's in charge; I'm going on a bender'

Theo Epstein deserves this.

The Cubs president of baseball operations joined the team in October 2011. The Cubs had just completed a 71-91 season, finishing last in the NL Central for a second consecutive season.

It began a five-year plan that took them from the gutter of the major leagues to the top of the mountain, ending in Wednesday night's World Series win over the Cleveland Indians.

So when he told CSN's Cubs Postseason Live that "Jed's in charge; I'm going on a bender," he certainly deserves it.
