Funky buttlovin': Henry Rowengartner is coming to Wrigley Field for Cubs' Game 4

He won't be available to pitch for the North Siders, but Henry Rowengartner will be at Wrigley Field tonight.

The star of the 1993 movie "Rookie of the Year" Thomas Ian Nicholas is traveling to Chicago to be in attendance for Game 4 of the NLCS between the Cubs and Mets. But there's a wrinkle.

Nicholas, who has thrown out the first pitch at a Cubs game before, won't be donning a Cubs uniform with his own last name on it. He'll be rocking the famous Rowengartner jersey.

Nicholas told ESPN.com it'll be the first time he's worn a jersey with his pseudonym since the movie, hoping it can spark the Cubs as they face a 3-0 deficit in the best-of-seven series.

"I feel like we kind of need it right now," Nicholas said. "It's kind of like my rally cap."

There are parallels, too. At the end of the movie, Rowengartner is pitching in Wrigley Field against the Mets with the pennant on the line, striking out slugger Alejandro Heddo (or was that Daniel Murphy?) with a floater to end the game.

"It's just like the movie. It's like art imitating life, life imitating art. The parallels are uncanny," Nicholas told ESPN.com. "I wanted to be there, and now I feel like I need to be there. I need to bring some good luck to Wrigley Field. I don't know what the heck is going on with the Cubs."

No word on if Brickma will be in attendance to help out Chris Bosio.
