The wait is over, Cubs fans, as Kris Bryant's time has come on the North Side.
The organization's top prospect got the call to Chicago late Thursday night, and on Friday he addressed the media prior to making his debut against the San Diego Padres.

"Time of my life, really. Can't really put into words how good of a feeling this is, to work for this your whole life and finally get that chance," he said. "But I think the journey's just starting. This isn't where I want to end. I want to win a lot of games, win for the Cubs, and I think this is a good starting point. "
