Kris Bryant, other Cubs visit White House; a sign of things to come?

When a team wins the World Series, it's invited to the White House for a meeting with the president.

And while there's plenty of baseball left to be played, let's just say that some members of the first-place Cubs are perhaps prepping for that very visit.

The Cubs begin their series with the Nationals on Monday night in our nation's capital, and before the game, a few Cubs couldn't resist playing tourist and seeing Washington's sights.

That includes Kris Bryant and Albert Almora, who got to go inside the White House and even hang out with President Obama's dogs.

Anthony Rizzo stopped by the president's house, too, though he and his tie-dye shirt remained outside the gates.

Then there's David Ross, who decided to visit President Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial.

There's a joke in there somewhere about the Cubs' last trip to the White House, but Lincoln didn't welcome any World Series visitors. No, the Commander in Chief in 1908 was Theodore Roosevelt.
