JavyTime is back, you guys.

Javier Baez announced his return to Triple-A Iowa Tuesday night with authority, slamming two homers in his first game back with the I-Cubs since June 7 after missing six weeks with a finger injury.

The 22-year-old infielder didn't make the big-league roster out of spring training after hitting just .169 with 95 strikeouts in his 52-game audition at the end of last season.

But Baez appears to have made adjustments this season, hitting .325 with a .966 OPS and 10 homers in the minors this year. Most importantly, he has just 41 strikeouts in 38 Triple-A games.

Baez has been especially hot of late, hitting .361 with a 1.136 OPS, eight homers and 22 RBI over his last 22 minor-league games (including four rehab games in Arizona).

The Cubs need some offense in Chicago right now, so with Baez back healthy and raking, it may not be long before the slugger gets the call to return to Wrigley Field.
