Fire unveil gray jersey, shorts combination as secondary kit

Jersey snobs have new Chicago Fire threads to judge.

The Fire unveiled a new secondary kit for the 2017 season. The jersey is gray with red horizontal stripes above and below sponsor Valspar. The shorts are also gray.

The color matches the gray background color of the team's logo. With the gray and the red horizontal stripes across the chest, the adidas jerseys have some similarities to the 1983 gray White Sox uniforms. However, the White Sox uniform had stripes across the arms as well and had navy inside the red and white lettering.

The Fire jersey has navy blue trim and red stars from the Chicago flag on the sleeve trim.

It is available for purchase on the Fire's website now.
