U.S. Soccer releases Copa America roster

The Copa America kicks off in 13 days and U.S. Soccer has released the 23-player roster that will be participating in the tournament, which includes a June 7 USA vs. Costa Rica match at Soldier Field.

As usual, Michael Bradley, Clint Dempsey and Fabian Johnson headline the American roster. Veteran goalkeepers Tim Howard and Brad Guzan also return with plenty of high level experience between the two of them.

With Howard's move to the Colorado Rapids this summer, there are 11 players from Major League Soccer on the roster. That doesn't even include Jozy Altidore, who likely would have been included had the Toronto FC forward not pulled his hamstring a week ago.

Premier League players include Geoff Cameron (Stoke City) and DeAndre Yeldin (Tottenham Hotspur after playing for Sunderland this season on loan). Brad Guzan plays for Aston Villa, which got relegated this season.

The U.S. opens against Colombia on June 3 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., before heading to Chicago for the Costa Rica game.
