Chicago Sky star Elena Delle Donne is headed to Brazil as part of Team USA, as announced Wednesday morning:
Brittney Griner and Maya Moore are among Delle Donne's teammates while Candace Parker is the most notable omission from Team USA.
Delle Donne was the 2015 WNBA MVP after scoring 23.4 points per game with 8.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 2 blocks. She also shot 46 percent from the floor (including 31.3 percent from three) and a stunning 95 percent from the free-throw line.
The 2012-13 WNBA Rookie of the Year is averaging 20.2 points per game in her professional career since coming out of Delaware.
