Chuck Garfien sits down with White Sox general manager Rick Hahn

How much pressure is on the White Sox this season?

After three straight losing seasons under Robin Ventura and a playoff drought that dates back to 2008, you'd think the South Siders would be feeling a little more pressure than usual.

"I don't know if that's really possible internally," White Sox general manager Rick Hahn told CSN's Chuck Garfien during a sit-down interview earlier this week. "There's no one inside this building or anyone in that clubhouse who doesn't feel on a daily basis the strong pressure to win. But that comes from inside. Whether it's Jerry (Reinsdorf) or Kenny (Williams) or myself or Robin and his staff, our main focus is on trying to win as many ballgames as we can regardless of what external expectations might be."

Hahn touched on several different topics in the interview, which aired during Thursday night's edition of SportsNet Central, including offseason additions like Austin Jackson, Alex Avila and Dioner Navarro.

But some of the more interesting comments were made in regard to Carson Fulmer. Garfien asked who could be in the mix should veterans John Danks and Mat Latos stumble at the back end of the team's starting rotation.

"I'm not going to say Carson Fulmer even though that's the name you want me to say," Hahn joked. "I'm trying to manage some expectations for this kid.

"But in reality, he's another quality option who may be knocking on the door before too long."
