New to U.S. Cellular Field in 2012

You can eat a hot dog with pastrami bacon at White Sox games this year. And it is absolutely delicious.

I had a chance to play food critic on Tuesday as the White Sox opened the doors of U.S. Cellular Field for a ballpark tour and sampling of the new eating options. I sampled the aforementioned hot dog with bacon pastrami (seriously, it's awesome) along with the Balkan hot dog (cevapcici) and a varying assortment of meatballs.

It wasn't the healthiest lunch ever, yeah, but it was tasty. There are healthier options -- the Sloppy Janes and baked potatoes looked pretty good -- for the record.

But the coolest thing looks like the addition of giant caricatures of Dick Allen, Goose Gossage and Bill Melton that'll be racing around the warning track every Sunday home game. Check the slideshow for images.

The White Sox home opener is Friday, so you can check all of these out for yourself then.
