Padres claim Eric Stults

The White Sox designated Eric Stults for assignment on Tuesday to make room for Jesse Crain, who was activated off the 15-day disabled that morning. And it doesn't look like Stults will be making it back to Triple-A Charlotte:

He made one start, throwing six innings in the nightcap of a doubleheader against Cleveland on May 7.

The 32-year-old journeyman made five starts with Triple-A Charlotte, posting a 2.20 ERA with 26 strikeouts and 10 walks in 28 23 innings.
