Red Sox, O's interested in Quentin?

According to a report, the Red Sox and White Sox met Tuesday about Carlos Quentin, but there doesn't appear to be a match between the two teams.

However, the White Sox and Orioles talked Tuesday, and while the specifics aren't known, Baltimore is in the market for a power hitter and veteran starter. So, in theory, Quentin fits that bill.

Gavin Floyd does as well, and the Baltimore-area native was rumored to be on his way to the Orioles for Brian Roberts after the 2008 season.

Kenny Williams said leading up to the winter meetings he was looking for major-league ready talent, but with the acquisition of Nestor Molina, that doesn't seem to be as important of a qualification for any deal as he made it out to be.
