Reed ranks as No. 100 prospect by MLB.com

The White Sox weren't completely shut out of MLB.com's top 100 prospects list, although it was close. Addison Reed, expected to be a part of the Sox 2012 bullpen, narrowly made the cut, ranking No. 100 on the list.

MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo wrote Reed is "a potential Rookie of the Year candidate in 2012 and perhaps an elite closer starting sooner rather than later." So that's nice, but still -- if you're going to get one prospect on a top 100 list, a relief pitcher ranked No. 100 probably isn't ideal.

For reference, here's how the rest of the AL Central was represented on the list:
Cleveland (1): Francisco Lindor (No. 32)
Detroit (3): Jacob Turner (No. 14), Nick Castellanos (No. 51), Drew Smyly (No. 82)
Kansas City (4): Bubba Starling (No. 17), Wil Myers (No. 19), Mike Montgomery (No. 31), Jake Odorizzi (No. 47)
Minnesota (2): Miguel Sano (No. 23), Aaron Hicks (No. 72)
