Saturday's White Sox-Tigers game rained out

DETROIT -- Saturday’s White Sox game against the Detroit Tigers has been postponed because of rain.

The game will be made up as part of a split double header on Sept. 21.

The White Sox and Tigers are scheduled to close a four-game series at 12:08 p.m. CST on Sunday.

Sunday’s originally scheduled starter, Jeff Samardzija, will pitch the finale while Saturday starter John Danks will have his turn skipped.

The White Sox announced they would start Chris Sale and Jose Quintana in St. Louis on Tuesday and Wednesday.
