Mark Buehrle kept his word.
There was little chance the Sox would match such a financial commitment -- four years and 58 million isn't chump change -- but it still was a classy gesture from the Buehrle camp to give the Sox, the only team he's known in his career, one last shot. That's not something to be taken for granted, as Jose Reyes didn't even give the Mets a courtesy call before signing with Miami.
