The Blue Jays narrowly missed out on being awarded the right to negotiate with Japanese pitching phenom Yu Darvish. The team's next move could be to look to deal for a starter, and Oakland's Gio Gonzalez and the White Sox John Danks are in their sights, according to Richard Griffin of the Toronto Star.
The Blue Jays' interest in the pair has been reported since the winter meetings earlier this month, but maybe losing out on Darvish will spur Toronto to move on Danks, at least. Whether the Sox and Jays match up in a trade is another story -- Kenny Williams is looking for a major prospect bounty for Danks, and the Sox already acquired the Blue Jays' No. 2 prospect in Nestor Molina for Sergio Santos.
