From yesterday:

Jake Peavy threw a complete game, but the Sox wound up losing 2-1 to drop their fifth straight series. Peavy's still optimistic, though, about the Sox chances this season.

John Danks was officially diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of the sub-scapularis muscle in his throwing shoulder and is tentatively scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment in three or four weeks. Chicago Tribune Live looked at the latest on Danks:

Around the division: Asdrubal Cabrera socked a walk-off home run as Cleveland moved into first place with a 3-2 win over Cincinnati, Justin Verlander topped Lance Lynn as Detroit moved within 1 12 games of the Sox, Kansas City shut out Houston 2-0 and Minnesota fell to Pittsburgh.
