White Sox option Heath to Triple-A

The White Sox announced pitcher Deunte Heath has been optioned to Triple-A following Sunday's game against Toronto, with a corresponding move to be made prior to Friday's series opener in Kansas City.

Heath was called up July 4 to take Jesse Crain's place on the White Sox major-league roster, but didn't appear in a game.

The White Sox currently have four pitchers on the disabled list -- John Danks, Philip Humber, Brian Bruney and Crain, who's disabled list stint is retroactive to June 24, so he'd be eligible to come off the DL by July 13. Bruney was placed on the 15-day disabled list June 29 and would also be eligible to return by next Friday, if he's recovered from the left hip inflammation that landed him on the shelf.
