Miguel Gonzalez's first stint with the White Sox only lasted one start.

Gonzalez was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte ahead of Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, just two days after making his White Sox debut on Monday night in Toronto.

Gonzalez allowed five runs on 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings, earning a no decision in Monday's win. It was his first start with the White Sox after making 95 starts with the Orioles from 2012 to 2015.

In a corresponding move, the White Sox recalled pitcher Daniel Webb. Webb has made seven relief appearances with Charlotte this season, going 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA, two saves and five strikeouts.

Webb made 27 appearances out of the White Sox bullpen last season, posting a 6.30 ERA. In three seasons with the White Sox, he's pitched in 93 games and posted a 4.54 ERA.
