Daily White Sox prospects update: Make it nine straight multi-hit games for Eloy Jimenez

Here's your daily update on what the White Sox highly touted prospects are doing in the minor leagues.

Double-A Birmingham

The Eloy Jimenez Train just will not stop. The White Sox top-ranked prospect extended his hitting streak to 13 games and extended his multi-hit game streak to nine with a 2-for-5 day Wednesday that featured a pair of doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored. The updated totals during this 13-game streak: a .421/.441/.825 slash line with five homers, eight doubles, 18 RBIs and 13 runs scored. But Jimenez wasn't the only one knocking the ball around the yard in a 16-3 win. Zack Collins, Seby Zavala and Matt Rose also had two-hit days, with Collins adding two walks to boost his on-base percentage to .454 on the season and Zavala hitting his team-best ninth home run. And oh yeah, Jordan Stephens threw six shutout innings and struck out eight guys. It's good to be a Baron.

Class A Winston-Salem

Red-hot starts by Micker Adolfo and Luis Alexander Basabe initially relegated Blake Rutherford to to a bit of background status at talent-packed Winston-Salem, but he's got the highest batting average of all of them now. Wednesday, Rutherford was 2-for-5 with a home run and drove in five runs. He's hitting .333 on the season with a .356 on-base percentage and a .495 slugging percentage. Adolfo and Gavin Sheets each had a hit in a 10-8 win.

Class A Kannapolis

Evan Skoug had three hits, including a double, and scored three runs in a 10-2 win. Lincoln Henzman allowed just two runs in his six innings.

Triple-A Charlotte

Charlie Tilson had two hits, scored two runs and stole a base in a 4-1 win.
