Catch a first-hand view of Ian Happ's absurd leadoff homer

MIAMI — After six months of an offseason and a long spring training building up to one moment, Ian Happ did the unbelievable: He hit the very first pitch of the season into the bleachers.

Catch an in-person view of the home run from the seats down the first-base line at the end of the video leading up to first pitch:

What's even more incredible is this wasn't just the first pitch of the Cubs' season, but the first pitch of Major League Baseball regular season action from Marlins Park.

Happ is playing in his first Opening Day in the big leagues and refused to let the moment get too big for him.

The Cubs went into spring training without a clear answer in the leadoff spot and challenged Happ with filling that void, something he excelled at during the exhibition games in Arizona. It's only one pitch and one at-bat, but I'd say the kid's off to a great start in that spot.
