A scary moment gave way to a collective sign of relief after Cubs outfielder Albert Almora crashed into the center field wall and left the intrasquad scrimmage Friday.

Almora suffered a minor left rib contusion, according to the Cubs, but he was back in the game about a half an hour later.

While chasing a line drive hit by Kris Bryant, Almora appeared to misjudge how much room he had behind him. He crashed into the wall and fell to the warning track. There he stayed as his teammates waved a trainer out to examine him.

He left the field of his own volition and exited via the third-base dugout to undergo further medical examination.

Almora returned to hit a an RBI single through the right side if the infield off right-hander Jharel Cotton.
