Leave it to this strange, unique and however else you'd like to describe the 2020 Major League Baseball season to be the one that the Cubs and White Sox make history together.
Sunday, Cubs starter Alec Mills threw the 16th no-hitter in franchise history, allowing just three walks in a dominant 12-0 win over Milwaukee. But it wasn't the first no-no thrown by a Chicago pitcher this season. White Sox starter Lucas Giolito threw a no-hitter against the Pirates on Aug. 25.
When was the last time both Chicago baseball teams accomplished such a feat in the same season? Never, actually.

Unfortunately for both Giolito and Mills, their masterful accomplishments came without fans in the stands. Cubs manager David Ross said he didn't notice the fan-less atmosphere on Sunday, but the moment had him thinking back to when he watched Giolito throw his no-hitter.
"And I watched him throw it without fans and I hated that at his home ballpark he didn’t have that," Ross said of Giolito. "Being on the road is a little bit different but we do get a little bit different fan base in Milwaukee.
"I didn’t notice that really. And I don’t think Millsy did.
