With about two months left in the 2021 Cubs season, we have a first look at the 2022 campaign.

The Cubs announced their tentative 2022 schedule on Wednesday. Their 147th season begins Thursday, March 31 in Cincinnati against the Reds.

Opening Day for all 30 clubs is March 31.

Next season is the first time the Cubs will open on the road since 2019. But after that quick three-game set in Cincinnati, they return home for their Wrigley Field opener on April 4 against the Cardinals.

It's the first time the Cubs' home opener is against St. Louis since 2015.

The Cubs will square off against the AL East as part of next season's interleague schedule, highlighted by a trip to Yankee Stadium June 10-12.

It's the third time ever the Cubs will play the Yankees on the road in the regular season and the first time since 2014.

Along with the Yankees, the Cubs will visit the Orioles for a two-game series (June 7-8) and the Blue Jays for a three-game set (Aug. 29-31).

Chicago will also host the Rays (April 18-20) and Red Sox (July 1-3) for three games, and Baltimore for two (July 12-13).

It will be Boston's third ever regular season series at the Friendly Confines and first since 2012.

And, of course, the Cubs have two two-game series against the crosstown White Sox (May 3-4 on the North Side, May 28-29 on the South Side).

The Cubs have three home games on holidays — Mother's Day (May 8 vs. the Dodgers), Memorial Day (May 30 vs. the Brewers) and Father's Day (June 19 vs. the Braves).

They'll be on the road for the Fourth of July (Brewers) and are off on Labor Day (Sept. 5).

The All-Star Game is July 19 at Dodger Stadium.

Here's a full look at the schedule, which is subject to change:
