Rizzo is officially a pitcher — in MLB The Show

Anthony Rizzo pitching in The Show has taken on a whole new meaning.

Rizzo made his second career big league appearance on the mound against Atlanta a few weeks back, even striking out Freddie Freeman. His performance apparently drew MLB The Show 21's attention.

The Show created a Rizzo reliever card, offering gamers an alternate version of the Cubs first baseman to put on the mound. And, honestly, Rizzo's attributes aren't as bad as you may think.

In the game, Rizzo has an 80 mph fastball and 68 mph curveball. He struck out Freeman on a 61 mph curve, so The Show is giving him a bit of a boost.

Next time you need a shutdown lefty to come out of the bullpen, try calling on the guy with a career 0.00 ERA.
