Cubs fans react to Jon Lester being pulled in middle of no-hitter

Jon Lester has moved down the Cubs' pitching rotation this season, but he came out of the gates on fire against the Reds.

Through five innings, Lester had a no-hitter in his first start of the 2020 season. A no-hitter!

And David Ross pulled Lester. In the middle of a no-hitter!

The Cubs had a healthy six-run lead and Ross is likely trying to protect Lester from over extending himself early in the season, but never the less... Cubs fans had thoughts about it.

Some saw it as a definitive sign that Ross' friendship with members of the team wouldn't be a factor.

Some are still counting it as a no-hitter.

Others were just befuddled.
