The Cubs hit a franchise milestone in Monday's game against the Tigers.
With Monday's 9-3 win over Detroit, the Cubs became the second team in Major League Baseball to hit 11,000 franchise victories. The Giants (including their days in New York) have the most wins with 11,179, and the Dodgers (also including their New York days) are third with 10,996.
The Cubs won their first game in franchise history on April 25, 1876 against the Louisville Grays and since then have never seen their franchise record dip below .500, according to the team's notes. Here's a look at other milestone victories:

8,000: 6-3 over Houston on May 14, 1982
