Cubs quality assurance coach Mike Napoli has missed all of summer training camp after testing positive for COVID-19 at home in Florida, the club disclosed Thursday.
"We’re really looking forward to getting Nap back and hopeful that he can rejoin us soon," Cubs president Theo Epstein said Thursday.
Napoli was hired over the offseason after David Ross was named Cubs manager.
The Cubs have not reported any positive COVID-19 tests among their players since intake and monitor testing began. They are believed to be the only team in baseball without any positive tests among their players.
