Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward is expected to return to play Wednesday against the Reds, after a health scare three days before.
Heyward left Sunday’s game against the Cardinals with lightheadedness and shortness of breath. The Cubs sent him to the hospital for a series of diagnostic tests. He finished his last round of tests Tuesday afternoon. All came back negative, according to Cubs manager David Ross.
“He came into my office,” Ross said. "It was nice to see a smile on his face. He’s been through a lot of tests the last couple days. He felt good.”

Heyward was even available to pinch hit in the Cubs’ 3-0 win against the Reds on Tuesday. After the game, Ross said, Heyward told him he’d be ready to play Wednesday.
