New Cub Stroman makes recruiting pitch to Correa

Marcus Stroman wasn't even 12 hours into his Cubs tenure before he made his first big pitch for the organization.

Recruiting pitch, that is.

Stroman, an active Twitter user who broke the news he was signing with the Cubs on his personal account, tweeted Carlos Correa a recruiting message to join him on the North Side.

"Need you in Chicago my dawg!" Stroman's tweet reads, also tagging Correa's account.

Correa is one of the top free agents this winter and still on the market with MLB's lockout underway. The Cubs are among five teams who have reached out to him, along with the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers and Braves, according to Houston reporter Mark Berman.

Shortstop is one of the Cubs' top priorities this offseason. Teams are unable to make transactions during the lockout, so if there is a match between the Cubs and Correa, it won't come until a new collective bargaining agreement is in place.
