After the trade, the Cubs honored Báez with a touching video tribute on Twitter, looking back on his countless memorable moments with the team.
Báez started two All-Star Games, won a Gold Glove, finished second in NL MVP voting and earned NLCS MVP honors during his time in the blue pinstripes — not to mention he helped the Cubs win the World Series in 2016.
He now reunites with good friend Francisco Lindor in the Mets' pursuit of a championship over the next few months.
