Postseason Hero Jon Lester was a crucial component to the Cubs World Series championship in 2016.

In Game 1 of the 2016 NLDS against the San Francisco Giants, the lefty threw eight shutout innings, giving up five hits, no walks, and striking out five to pick up the win.

Then in the 2016 NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Lester allowed just two runs over 14 innings and was named co-MVP of the series.

Lester’s heroics continued in Game 5 of the World Series, with the Cubs down three games to one against the Indians, Lester allowed just two runs on four hits in six innings of work to keep the Cubs World Series hopes alive.
