Cubs trade Anthony Rizzo to Yankees, Twitter reacts

Starting spreading the news. Anthony Rizzo is leaving today.

The Cubs traded Rizzo to the New York Yankees, the club officially announced Thursday night.

And as you may imagine, Cubs fans are emotional seeing Rizzo, a franchise cornerstone and the longest-tenured player on the roster, leave the club.

Ohers are upset Rizzo didn't get an at-bat Thursday, so fans could give him a final ovation at Wrigley Field, in case of a trade. Rizzo and Bryant, another likely trade candidate, sat out of Thursday's loss to the Reds.
