Chicago baseball fans who want to check out some up-and-coming stars will have that opportunity later this month. The White Sox and Cubs alternate-site teams will face off for a series of three minor league exhibition games at Wintrust Park in Schaumburg.

The White Sox’ team features some high-profile prospects like Gavin Sheets, Zack Burdi and Jonathan Stiever, plus, former major-leaguer Reynaldo Lopez. Meanwhile the Cubs field big names like Nico Hoerner, Pedro Strop, Miguel Amaya and Shelby Miller.

The teams will play April 24, April 28 and April 30, with fan capacity set at just over 20%. In addition, extra COVID-19 safety protocols have been put in place, like extra space between seating pods, mask requirements when not eating or drinking and in-seat delivery of all concessions.

Tickets are $10 and go on sale this Tuesday.
