Circumstances around COVID-19 are escalating by the hour, but Cubs manager David Ross is doing his best to keep a level head during the crisis.

Ross called the situation alarming while speaking to reporters in Arizona on Thursday. He added that the Cubs are operating under a “business as usual” mindset and are controlling what they control until told otherwise by Major League Baseball.

It looks like MLB will step in with an official decree in the very near future. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported that the league is expected to suspend all spring training action and delay the start of the regular season.
