El Mago: Báez pulls off patented swim move slide with Mets

He may be in a new uniform, but Javy Báez is still El Mago.

Time and time again, Báez wowed Cubs fans with his Gold Glove defense and elusive maneuvers on the base paths.

Now with the Mets following last week's trade from the Cubs, Báez pulled off the latter on Wednesday.

Mets catcher Tomas Nido hit a ground ball to Miami first baseman Jesús Aguilar. Báez went on contact, and when Aguilar fired a strike to the plate, it looked like he would be out easily.

Instead, Báez pulled off his patented swim move slide to avoid the tag and score.

Báez has already had several highlight-reel moments since joining New York. He hit a home run in his debut last week, part of a home run trifecta with Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant in their debuts with their new teams.
