Fergie Jenkins is joining the list of athletes and teams doing their part to support employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Saturday, Jenkins announced for the next week, he will donate all proceeds from his Cameo account to Cubs and Sloan Park employees unable to work during baseball’s hiatus resulting from the coronavirus.

Cameo is a video-sharing website where fans can book personalized shout-outs from celebrities, athletes, influencers, etc. Prices are set individually by the creator; Jenkins’ rate is $50 per video, and his page can be found here.

The Cubs are formulating a plan to pay their game day employees, according to David Kaplan. The Bulls, Blackhawks and United Center announced Saturday they will do so for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.

MLB suspending its season in response to the coronavirus was the best and only option. It’s nice to see families affected by the ongoing pandemic receive support during this uncertain time.
