Mark Prior finally got a World Series ring. The former Cubs ace earned the hardware as the pitching coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Prior joined the Dodgers in 2018 as a bullpen coach, but was promoted to pitching coach at the beginning of this season.

Prior’s work paid off as the Dodgers’ 3.42 team ERA and 1.16 WHIP were both the lowest among all LCS teams.

Prior, who holds a share of the MLB record for most strikeouts in a game, also helped Clayton Kershaw become the all-time MLB leader in postseason strikeouts this year.

In addition, former Cubs outfielder Brant Brown won a ring as a Dodgers hitting coach. Brown debuted with the Cubs in 1996 and ended up playing four seasons on the North Side.
