Javy Baez pulls an Addison Russell, ends up in a fan's lap with ridiculous catch

Somehow, Javy Baez continues to amaze with what he can do on the baseball diamond.

As the Cubs were winding down in a hapless 6-1 loss to the Phillies Saturday, Baez didn't stop playing hard, ranging 111 feet in the ninth inning to make a catch in foul territory before tumbling into the first row of seats along the third base line.

He wound up with a bunch of beer spilled on him as his legs knocked into a fan nursing his final brew of the night.

Joe Maddon compared it to the Addison Russell Nacho Man play last September in St. Louis.

Kyle Schwarber made a similar catch down the left field line last May against the Yankees and Baez joked in order to top both Russell and Schwarber, he needs to go three rows deep next time, a la Derek Jeter.
