Kris Bryant returns to the Cubs lineup

He's back, Cubs fans!

The guy everyone has been hoping can right the ship for the Cubs offensively, former MVP Kris Bryant is back after getting hit by a pitch on his wrist. Bryant spent the last two days out of the lineup but will be playing left field and batting 6th Friday afternoon against the Cardinals.

Theo Epstein spoke yesterday saying Bryant was day-to-day with his wrist but made the injury seem like it was nothing serious. Bryant had been batting well in September, slashing.274/.357/.397, but is still lacking his usual power at the plate. However, with the Cubs lack of patience and a sinking team on-base percentage, having Bryant in the bottom half of the lineup will hopefully give the Cubs a productive bat with excellent on-base skills to keep the offense balanced.
