Chicago Cubs pitchers Zach Davies, Andrew Chafin, Ryan Tepera and Craig Kimbrel combined to no-hit the Los Angeles Dodgers. It's the 17th no-hitter in the franchise's storied history. The Cubs are now tied with the Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants for fourth-most no-hitters in MLB history, behind the Boston Red Sox (18), Chicago White Sox (20) and Los Angeles Dodgers (26).Here is a list of every Cubs no-hitter in history.

Over 140 years ago, Larry Corcoran threw the first no-hitter in team history at home against the Boston Red Caps.

A little over two years later, Corcoran threw the second no-hitter in team history. It holds the record of the latest no-hitter in the calendar year by a Cubs pitcher.

He is the first to throw two no-hitters in Major League Baseball, and the Cubs, obviously.

Eventually someone else will throw a no-hitter for the Cubs.

Corcoran earned his third, and final, no-hitter with the Cubs against the Providence Grays.

And Corcoran becomes the first MLB pitcher to throw three no-hitters, and no one else has thrown two at this point, but that changes a few weeks later in August of 1884.

The Providence Grays are on the receiving end of another Cubs' no-hitter, this time at the hands of John Clarkson. This is the first no-hitter thrown on the road for the Cubs.

It's the fourth and final no-hitter under manager Cap Anson.

Until Walter Thornton threw this no-hitter in 1898, no left-hander had thrown one for the Cubs. Of course, only two pitchers threw the Cubs' first four no-hitters.

In the first game of a double header, Jimmy Lavender no-hit the New York Baseball Giants. Lavender walked just one batter while striking out eight.

Sam Jones' no-hitter in 1955 was a milestone. It was the first no-hitter thrown by a Black pitcher, ending a 40-year drought in no-hitters in the process.

He also set the team record for most baserunners allowed in a no-hitter. With the bases loaded, Jones ended the game striking out Dick Groat, Roberto Clemente and Frank Thomas (not that one).

In the second game of a doubleheader, Don Cardwell no-hits the St. Louis Cardinals in his first start with the Cubs. I wonder if the Phillies wished they hadn't let him go.

Ken Holtzman earns the no-hitter with a 3-0 win over the Atlanta Braves, and did so without throwing a single strikeout in the whole game.

10/17

Holtzman throws his second no-hitter for the Cubs in a 1-0 win over the Reds. Fun fact, Holtzman scored that winning run.

And people want the DH in the National League.

In just the second game of the season, Burt Hooton threw a no-hitter against the Philadelphia Phillies. Like Sam Jones before him, he allowed seven base-runners.

12/17

Milt Pappas was perfect through 8.2 innings, then he walked his first base runner in the ninth inning.

13/17

Big Z threw a no-hitter against the Houston Astros, in Milwaukee at Miller Park. The game was moved because of Hurricane Ike and it was the first no-hitter thrown at a neutral site.

This ended one of the longest no-hitter droughts in franchise history.

One day shy of the 12-year anniversary of this no-hitter, Cubs will get some magic at Miller Park again.

14/17

Jake Arrieta throws his first no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It's the first no-hitter thrown by a visiting team at Dodger Stadium in over two decades.

Arrieta struck out 12 batters in the process, walking just one in the sixth inning.

15/17

It was Arrieta's second no-hitter, and yes, that's Cubs' manager David Ross in the photo.

And like Arrieta's first no-hitter, this one was also on the road.

The Cubs' 16-0 win was the record for the most runs scored by a winning team in MLB's modern era, and a record for the Cubs. It was also the shortest interval between no-hitters in team history.

16/17

Alec Mills threw the 16th no-hitter in Cubs history in an empty Miller Park. Mills was a walk-on at University of Tennessee at Martin. He was a 22nd-round pick by the Royals who DFA'd him in 2017.

And he is the owner of the most-recent no-hitter in Cubs history, holding the Brewers hitless over 114 pitches with five strikeouts.

The 12 runs was the second-most scored by the Cubs in a no-hitter in team history.

17/17

The Cubs pitching staff combined to no-hit the Los Angeles Dodgers in June of 2021. Zach Davies started and threw six innings. Ryan Tepera, Andrew Chafin and Craig Kimbrel all pitched a single inning.

It was Willson Contreras' first no-hitter behind the plate. It was the 7th no-hitter of the 2021 MLB season, ignoring Madison Bumgarner's seven-inning no-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader against the Braves in April of 2021.

It was also the first no-hitter in Dodger Stadium since Jake Arrieta no-hit the Dodgers in August of 2015.
