When Ben Zobrist took an unexplained leave of absence last week, many were left wondering what was going on.
Today, public court filings from Cook County may shed some light on the answer:

The couple is filing for divorce after 14 years of marriage. Julianna Zobrist is listed as the plantiff, meaning she was the one who filed the motion. Zobrist, however, filed his own divorce motion in Williamson County circuit court, near Nashville, Tennessee. His filing alleges that she “has been guilty of inappropriate marital conduct, which rendered further cohabitation impossible,” according to reporting from The Tennessean.
Zobrist has been away from the Cubs for a week now with what the Cubs have been calling a "family matter."
