De Aza departs after collision with Ramirez

In a rare defensive miscue for the White Sox, center fielder Alejandro De Aza collided with shortstop Alexei Ramirez on a shallow fly ball to center off the bat of Craig Gentry in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The ball fell and Ramirez hit De Aza violently in the shoulder as both players fell to the grass in pain. Manager Robin Ventura and trainer Herm Schneider immediately came out to check on both players.

Ramirez was able to remain in the game after taking a few warmup throws. However, De Aza had to exit and Jordan Danks took his place.
