NEWARK, N.J. In the playoffs, focus is key. Every player has to have it. So do coaches. And New Jersey Devils coach Peter DeBoer made sure everyone knew his focus was where it needed to be in Game 4.
During Game 4, DeBoer was standing in front of a very buxom hockey fan, adult film actress Taylor Stevens. When DeBoer was asked about players playoff focus after Fridays practice, he took the opportunity to talk about his own focus.
I thought that question was going (to be) about the lady behind our bench the last game. I thought we were heading that way, DeBoer said, cracking up the media room. You saw my 100 percent focus on the game. Thats discipline, Ill tell you.
Considering the Devils performance in that 3-1 victory, apparently focus wasnt a problem.
