Eduardo Escobar moved into the top-10 in hitting on Friday after leading the Peoria Saguaros to a 6-2 victory over visiting Mesa.
The White Sox farmhand, who split the regular season between Winston-Salem and Birmingham, was 2-for- with a homer, an RBI and a walk. His effort extended his hitting streak to five games, during which he is batting .455 10-for-22. Overall, hes hitting .382, good for 10th in the AFL. Escobar hit .277 during the regular season.
Charlie Leesman, who also split the season between Winston-Salem and Birmingham, had another rough outing, allowing two runs on two hits in an inning. Hes got a 6.75 ERA in four relief appearances after making 28 starts during the regular season.

Former Cubs top pick Josh Vitters went 0-for-4 for Mesa while Ryan Flaherty had a hit in four at-bats.
