Fire team up with Quaker Oats

Chicago

Chicagos soccer club and one of Chicagos iconic foods brands are teaming up for a delicious partnership. (Wow.. yeah, I really went there.)

The Fire announced a new shirt sponsorship with Chicago-based Quaker Foods for the 2012 season. The club was without a shirt sponsor after Best Buy pulled the plug on their sponsorship following the 2010 campaign. No word as to whether or not the Quaker Oats guy will replace Sparky as the Fires mascot.

The newly redesigned shirts are below. Ironically, the first home game of the season will be against Philadelphia -- a city that the Quakers founded.
