The Chicago fire released their new logo on Friday night.

The Fire will continue using their current “Fire Crown” badge for the 2021 season, and the new uniforms will debut in 2022.

The new badge features Chicago’s signature red six-pointed star surrounded by a red “C” and a sky blue circular cross.

The logo, which Fire owner Joe Mansueto said “was fully and completely inspired by what we heard from our fans and supporters,” was designed by Matthew Wolff as part of a collaboration project in which input from fans was encouraged and accepted.

The Fire unveiled the new threads through a social media campaign titled “A Crest for All Chicago.”

“We’re hopeful all will wear the new crest with pride and feel it represents not only this storied club, but also the great city of Chicago,” Mansueto said.
