Hawks continue to impress in IIHF World Championships

The Blackhawks representatives playing in the IIHF World Championships have been impressive throughout the tournament, that didn't change on Tuesday.

Defenseman Duncan Keith logged 26:03 minutes of ice team, which led all of Team Canada in the team's 3-2 victory over Switzerland in Helsinki. Patrick Sharp was held scoreless, but tallied three shots on net after his five-point performance against France on Monday. John Tavares, Jordan Eberle and Ryan Getzlaf all scored goals for Canada.

Host of the IIHF World Championships, Sweeden, who are led by Blackhawks' Viktor Stalberg, Marcus Kruger and Niklas Hjalmarsson easily defeated Germany, 5-2. Stalberg scored a goal in the victory and was named Best Player for Sweden. Kruger also tallied a goal, while Hjalmarsson had an assist and registered 18:49 minutes of ice time.

Next up for Canada is Finland on Friday, May 11. Sweden will take on Team Russia Friday afternoon.
