The inspirational story of Jeff Hobbs tonight on CSN

Share

Jeff Hobbs is not nor has he ever been the greatest basketball player of all-time.

But it's easy to see why he's compared to Michael Jordan.

Hobbs has faced many challenges throughout his life, and he's faced them all head on with a determination often found in the athletes he's watched ever since he was a kid.

Born with spastic cerebral palsy, Hobbs faced a life-changing moment when he was told he couldn't play for his high school's no-cut football team. But he transformed that into the will and determination that landed him a spot on the cross country team. He's been working hard and running ever since, becoming an inspiration to those around him.

Driven by being told he can't do something, he's now set to apply his never-quit attitude to his biggest race yet: He's looking to become the first person with spastic cerebral palsy to run the Chicago Marathon.

Check out Hobbs' inspirational story in the video above, and be sure to watch the full special on Hobbs, coming Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on CSN.
